My teaching experience includes semi-regular classes at Anatomie Studio on tying and guest teaching for other rope communities. I am happy to work with organisers to ensure we deliver something that works best for the event and students.
I offer private lessons on tying to individuals and groups which I tailor. These can be pitched at a variety of levels and objectives.
Very happy to provide references and talk about what you might be interested in and the cost. Contact me.
Workshops to Date Include
Heavier Models / Smaller Riggers – with Miss Eris
Larger models – when the model just happens to be a bit bigger than the rigger – or the model is a bit more than a 40kg ballerina. In both cases; a little skill, adaptation and finesse can make the experience more fun for everyone involved.
This class is aimed at riggers and models who have some experience of suspension and are looking to learn how to deal with both the specific challenges of being smaller than your model, and/or finding better ways for a larger model to manage to be in ropes. This workshop will look at a range of adaptations, tips and techniques.
Pretty and Playful
This class is aimed at beginners and early intermediates who have grasped the basics and want to find ways to use it. The aim of the class is to develop an understanding of some methods and patterns for creating pretty shapes on the floor and how to make it fun.
This class looks at a range of patterns for floor ties, including some more interesting and challenging variations on well-known classics. It also looks at how we can combine some of these shapes for aesthetically pleasing and fun results.
